1. Start the day with traditional pastries

You should start your day in Lisbon in one of the many small cafés and try the traditional pastry "Pastel de Nata". In Lisbon, espresso is sometimes available for less than 1€, a Pastel de Nata costs a little more than 1€.

For breakfast we recommend the district "Alfama", which is one of the hippest neighborhoods in Lisbon and winds its way up a hill through narrow, cobbled streets.

There you will find many small restaurants and cafes.

2. Sightseeing and Dolce Vita in Lisbon

Lisbon has many sights to offer - conveniently, many of them can be explored on foot. Among the most famous sights are certainly the Elevador de Santa Justa, a steel elevator that connects the districts Chiado and Baixa for over 100 years, and the Cathedral Sé de Lisboa, a church from the 10th century.

A ride on the traditional tram is also an absolute must for Lisbon tourists. Especially recommended here is the line 28E, which drives along the partly steep paths of Lisbon's inner stand.

Not to be overlooked is Lisbon's gigantic bridge, the Ponte de 25 Abril, which is the third longest suspension bridge in the world. On the opposite side of the bridge is the Cristo Rei statue, which is also a stunning photo spot.

To explore as many sights as possible within one day, it is recommended to buy a 24-hour hop-on-hop-off ticket. This includes the hop-on-hop-off bus, the streetcars of Carris de Ferro de Lisboa, the entrance to the national monuments, the Elevador Santa Justa and the cable cars of Lisbon.

Alternatively, you can rent one of the many e-scooters. There are partly also 24-hour tickets for 10€ avaliable.

If you want to benefit from even more discounts, you can buy the Lisboa Card for 24 hours (also available for 48 and 72 hours).

With it you can use the entire public transport for free and have free admission to many museums.

3. Lunch at Time Out Market

At lunchtime we can recommend the Time Out Market. It is a large market hall, which, in addition to some traditional market stalls, also includes a modern food hall, in which many different food stalls offer all kinds of delicacies.

In addition to Portuguese dishes, you can also find Asian or Italian food stalls here, for example.

As a dessert, there is once again the opportunity to eat the delicious Pastel de Nata, which we have tasted particularly good here.

4. Dinner & breathtaking sunset at Rooftop Restaurant

An absolute highlight can be experienced on the roof terrace of the Memmo Alfama Hotel.

Because here you can not only eat super well, but also enjoy a breathtaking view over Lisbon.

The Memmo Alfama is somewhat hidden, we have therefore marked this for you in our map above.

This location is absolutely suitable as a starting point for a party night.

5. Nightlife in Lisbon: clubbing in Lisbon's hottest clubs

Lisbon has an exciting nightlife to offer and besides a party mile some hip clubs.

We have a recommendation for both categories:

If you like to move from bar to bar or from club to club, you will find it on Pink Street. Pink Street is the party mile in Lisbon. Here you will find many different locations close together, so that there is certainly something for everyone.

In addition, there are several restaurants with long opening hours. If you get hungry late at night, we can recommend the burger restaurant "Collect Burger".

Alternatively, you can spend a party night in the nightclub "Lux". This is definitely a special experience. The location is directly at the harbor and the club extends over several levels.

At the top there is even a roof terrace with a separate bar and a view over the harbor and the sea. The Lux is not without reason one of Lisbon's hottest clubs.

We liked the lowest level at the Lux club the best - there is a somewhat smaller electro area here.

The cocktails and service at Lux are remarkably good - but it's not easy to get in the club, as there's a lot of screening at the door.

If you want to see all the sights in Lisbon at your leisure, we recommend that you stay in Lisbon for 3 days. Then you will have enough time to visit the Torre de Belem or one of the nearby beaches.
